Be there only you there is

There is no formula for life. As Robert Frost said so well:

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Robert Frost

Some people will be entrepreneurs, full of vision and passion and drive. Others will be the team members who make their organization better with them than it could be on its own.

It’s important to have a plan, but it’s also important to never settle. Never give someone else the power to make or break you. Take the reins of your own life; ask for the help you need; take the steps you need to take; focus on where you are and where you want to be. No one can get you there except yourself; not your parents, not your best friend, not your awesome school.

But even though you might be the only one who can get you to that finish line, at the end of the day, you don’t have to get there alone. Find someone who has made it to where you wanna be before you: and get to know them. Just say, “Hey, I like what you’re doing. Can you tell me more?”

Take lessons from everywhere: your friends, your boss, movies, books, the stories of the human beings who surround you. But while all of that is valuable, you have to be authentic, and lead from the traits that make you unique. Don’t blame someone else’s advice or example for your failures; investigate who you are and go from there. Take the path that no one else has walked because no one else is you.
